When is Preakness Stakes in 2018?

The 2018 Preakness Stakes is an annual horse race held at Preakness Park in Elmont, New York. The race is an American Grade I Thoroughbred horse race and features 3-yearold Thoroughbreds. A Thoroughbred is a breed of horses that is popular because of its ability to race as a result of their combination of agility, speed, and spirit. Colts and geldings in the Preakness horse race carry a weight of 126-lbs (57-kiliograms) while the fillies carry 121-lbs (55 kilograms). The Preakness race track is 1.5 miles (2.4 kilometers) long.

The Preakness Stakes, sometimes referred to as The Test of the Champion, is the 3rd and final race of the Triple Crown. The two other legs are the Kentucky Derby (5-weeks prior) and the Preakness Stakes (3-weeks prior). The Preakness horse race is always held on a Saturday between June 5th-11th.
